ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Cardinals announced Monday they are teaming up with the St. Louis Blues for the first-ever Blues Theme Night on Sept. 21 at Busch Stadium.
“The Cardinals and Blues have always had a great friendship that extends all the way from our ownership to our fans,” Bill DeWitt III, President of the St. Louis Cardinals, said in a press release. “We’re looking forward to hosting both organizations together and celebrating our mutual success on the diamond and the ice.”
There will be an opportunity for autographs from Blues and Cardinals alumni during a pre-game pep rally. Members of the Blues will be introduced on the field during a special pre-game ceremony. The Cardinals will wear St. Louis Blues-themed jerseys during batting practice, with those jerseys being available for auction later and proceeds benefitting Cardinals Care.
Fans who purchase special Blues Theme Night tickets will receive a limited addition Blues-themed Cardinals baseball cap.
“We are thrilled to be a part of this special night at Busch Stadium,” said Chris Zimmerman, President and CEO of Business Operations for the St. Louis Blues, in a press release. “The relationship between the Blues and Cardinals is one of the reasons why St. Louis is such a great sports city, and we always cherish the opportunity to strengthen our bond.”
