St. Louis Blues trim roster

The St. Louis Blues announced roster moves on Saturday morning in advance of their preseason game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

ST. LOUIS — The Blues announced Saturday morning they had trimmed 19 players from their training camp roster. 

The Blues released defensemen Stu Bickel and forwards Spencer Asuchak, Evan Trupp, Eriah Hayes and Zach O'Brien from their professional tryouts. 

They assigned 14 players to the Chicago Wolves, their American Hockey League affiliate: forwards Cody Beach, Pat Cannone, Jaedon Descheneau, Jacob Doty, Justin Hodgman, Danny Kristo, Zach Pochiro, Ryan Tesink and Yannick Veilleux, as well as defensemen Konrad Abeltshauser, Jordan Schmaltz and Tommy Vannelli, and goaltenders Jordan Binnington and Niklas Lundstrom. 

Earlier in the week the Blues released seven players and assigned them to their junior clubs: Vince Dunn (Niagara), Samuel Blais (Victoriaville), Liam Dunda (Owen Sound), Glenn Gawdin (Swift Current), Adam Musil (Red Deer), Luke Opilka (Kitchener) and C.J. Yakimowicz (London). Dunn was the Blues’ second-round pick in the 2015 Draft.
