A Tool Worth Having

Like many pieces of gear we anglers keep on hand, this one won’t make the fish jump into the boat, but it will call them up!

The 2015 Bassmaster Classic was a great time down in Greenville, North Carolina! Of course, the fisherman inside me is chomping at the bit to earn my qualification to fish toe to toe with the top 50 anglers in the world, but there’s a whole other side of the Classic that is equally as important to the sport of fishing, the Bassmaster Classic Expo.

The Expo was hopping once again! Fans from all over the world congregate to one chosen city to cheer on their favorite anglers and to walk the isles of the Expo to see what’s new and what’s popular in the world of bass fishing.

This year, I got the opportunity to work for one of my sponsors Hydrowave and the booth was jamming and for good reason, these units just flat work. I’ve always said, the Hydrowave isn’t a miracle worker and it’s an electronics device similar to my Lowrance and Navionics card, all tools to help me put fish in the boat.

You could go duck hunting without a duck call and probably even shoot some ducks, but you’ll do better day in and day out if you use a duck call. There’s just no doubt. The Hydrowave is my duck call when I’m out fishing. Quack Quack!

Here’s a great video we produced with Bassmaster Elite Series Pro Jeff Kriet explaining how the Hydrowave helps him against the best in the country!
