Many thought Ranger Boat Company had stepped outside its strength when it entered the aluminum boat market a couple of seasons ago. Instead, the pride of Flippin, Arkansas, has brought a fresh dimension to the genre, highlighted with classic Ranger comfort and amenities.
The new Ranger VS1780 is proof of the claim.
Late last season, I met with George Liddle in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., to check out a hot fire engine red model of the VS1780 that Ranger had hauled to Door County.
Ranger has brought much of its fiberglass excellence and innovation to aluminum watercraft in everything from its center-weighted design and extended rod locker to its cool cooler-within-a-cooler and sliding accessory rail.
Here George details the design and amenities that make the VS1780 another example of Ranger distinction.
