This is a hot-button issue for many, including fisheries biologist Dr. Hal Schramm. Does stocking fish actually work? Yes and no. Hal points out that while it may increase fish populations, not all bodies of water are suitable candidates. It tends to be expensive and is simply not a cut-and-dried issue for helping fisheries.
