'Hunting' for Steelhead

Sometimes the most important thing you bring fishing is your STEALTH.

Sneaking through the rushes and setting up in a hiding spot sounds more like duck hunting than fishing.

Eric Haataja and his pal Scott Skafar are actually stalking the spring steelhead in this small Wisconsin river. The water is so shallow and the fish so wary that they can easily be busted if sighted by the prey they are sightcasting toward.

This is a game of precision tactics that requires the patience of a hunter.
