An Alaskan guide was taking tourists to see polar bears in their natural habitat in Alaska's barrier islands when the group saw a polar bear struggling in the water just a few feet offshore.
The bear was tangled in a fishing net from local fishermen and treading water, struggling to keep its head above water. A fisherman in the area took his boat out to save the bear and release it from the mangled net.
The fisherman, along with a few locals, led the bear to the shore in tough waters, and cut the net off so it could walk away freed.
