The 'Right' Aquatic Plants

Not all aquatic plants are created equal.

Aquatic plants have taken quite a beating with the invasion of Eurasion water milfoil, hydrilla and others that tend to choke out native vegetation.

But fisheries biologist Dr. Hal Schramm reminds us that the right rooted plants are extremely crucial to the health of our lakes and rivers. These are often the ones in need of help from the invasive ones that are usually introduced unintentionally.

He invites fishing clubs to team up with biologists to ensure that the right plants are firmly established in your home water.
