Golden 'Eyes

No we're not talking about GoldenEye ducks...we're talking walleyes.

Up north in Minnesota you'll find walleyes that thrive in the cold water and feature a deep golden color like nowhere else. North American Fisherman went up to Voyageur's National Park to sample the walleye bite and it was ON to say the least.

The Kabetogama Peninsula, which lies entirely within the park and makes up most of its land area, is accessible only by boat. To the east of the National Park lies the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.

This is truly a wilderness outing that should really be on your bucket list. A houseboat is your best option for lodging, which makes for a five-star vacation.
