Solving a New Lake

Fishing an unfamiliar body of water is something we all face. See how it happens when there's a camera running.

The producers of North American Fisherman TV put out a challenge to hosts Steve Pennaz and Dr. Hal Schramm in this archived episode - randomly pick a lake off the map and try to figure out the pattern for catching bass on it. They were able to use the Lake Finder app to determine the lake's statistics but nothing else.

See how these two fishermen dissect the bite and try to figure out where to find the fish. It's an exercise that tournament anglers do all the time - cover water and gather intel, and then use their best judgement to find the best chances for landing big fish.

Steve and Hal think aloud, show you what they're using and offer a process to follow next time you're fishing a new body of water.
