Big news from Big Green

Late last week the editorial team at NAH received word from industry insiders about the consolidation of multiple company plants into Freedom Group's Huntsville, Alabama, facility.

According to Teddy Novin, director of public affairs of Freedom Group, Inc., parent company of Remington Arms: "This was a strategic business decision to concentrate our resources into fewer locations and improve manufacturing efficiency and quality. We are working hard to retain as many people from the affected facilities as possible."

The companies being relocated and their current locations are as follows:
Advanced Armament Corp, Lawrenceville, Georgia; DPMS, St. Cloud, Minnesota LAR Manufacturing, West Jordan, Utah Montana Rifleman, Kalispell, Montana Para-Ordnance, Pineville, North Carolina TAPCO, Kennesaw, Georgia

In addition, the Bushmaster production and Remington 1911 production lines will also be relocating from Ilion, New York.

The NAH staff will keep you posted as more info comes down the pipe.
