Anyone who has spent multiple days in the field this spring in pursuit of wild turkeys eventually hits the wall.

When you get up "turkey early" at 3:45 a.m. or 4 a.m. in order to be in place to hear the gobbling that should get rollin' at 5 a.m., your body can't help but shut down during late morning.

Be honest: Have you ever been kicked out of slumber by a nearby gobble or hen yelp? Did you kill the tom or jake that was suddenly standing in your decoys?

If you're still getting after longbeards this weekend, do your best to catch a cat nap without missing out on an end-of-the-season tom. Good luck!
