A Sniper's Dream: Self-guided bullets

It's a sniper's dream - a bullet that will always find its target.

The technology may sound like something from the imagination of a Sci-Fi writer, but it’s now a reality. U.S. snipers now have an advantage similar to pilots whose aircraft are equipped with guided missiles.

The Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) announced it has successfully tested the world’s first ever small-caliber bullet. The agency released a video that shows a shooter purposely aiming far off from a target; but as the round makes its way down the path, it suddenly curves to correct its course and hits the target dead-on.
