Anyone who's done a Dall Sheep hunt will tell you it's no cake walk. In fact, if you ask North American Hunter's Bill Miller he'll tell you it's the most difficult thing he's ever done. He made the bucket-list trip to Alaska and no amount of training prepared him for the challenges ahead.
The hunt was also complicated by fog that caused a mind-numbing delay and provided cover that made getting a shot dicey at best. All they could do was set up on the face and wait, and hope.
Eventually their patience enabled a shot inside of 300 yards, which Bill knew would be the best opportunity he would get. All the time and effort came down to this one moment.null
