Calling in a Black Bear

There's nothing like the charge of a boar to a predator call. Melissa is about to find that out.

Spring in Alaska is an amazing time of year. Everything is coming back to life, especially the black bears.

Melissa Bachman is up there on her first black bear hunt. She's got her bow and is using a predator call, which means she'd better be ready to say the least.

These bears are fresh out of hibernation and coming in hard when they hear what they think is a Sitka fawn in distress. It doesn't take long when one of them is in earshot.

Being she's on the ground in the open means there is little room for error when a boar starts his charge. The rest is history.
