Bill Miller of North American Hunter demonstrates the ease of swapping the barrel on his Thompson Center Encore.
Bill's on a combination hog/turkey hunt and has the need to go from a rifle to a shotgun, possibly out in the field. It's easily done thanks to the T/C Encore system. With only two screws and a hingepin to remove, the process is as simple as it gets.
In minutes you're ready to go, especially with the scope attached to the rifle barrel. The sling remains attached to the butt and re-attaches to the stock and away you go. About the only thing the Encore can't do is pull the trigger for you, bu then where would the fun be?
