Chase Ferris of Palmer, Alaska let a bear decide if he'll attend the University of Mary

To bear or not to bear? That was his question!

Forget flipping a coin!

And kick that Magic 8 Ball to the curb!

Chase Ferris of Palmer, Alaska had a much better way to decide his fate and it involved bear hunting!

The standout athlete in multiple sports from Palmer High decided to let his time afield decide where he’ll play football next year.  He decided that if he got a bear on a recent hunting trip that he’d attend the University of Mary.  If he didn’t get a bear, he’d commit to the University of Wyoming.

Lucky for the University of Mary, Ferris got his bear and he starts therein the fall.

Way to go kid and congrats on the bear…

And the scholarship!
