Charles Helms was playing around of golf at Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Florida when 15 feet of alligator decided it wanted to play through.
Helms told ABC Action News, “I was stunned and silent. I didn’t know if we were being punked or something…It was just laying down, resting, when it got up and started moving towards the big lake.”
Although Helms was surprised those that play the course regularly know the gator.
A pro at the course told News 3, “People have heard that he is out here and that is all they want to see so they will bring spectators to ride so somebody can get a picture. He doesn’t bother anybody and they don’t bother him, he’s like a mascot for the course, which is owned by Manatee County.”
