This Was Caught…In Oregon

It's a long way from Argentina

No.

This is not a Chupacabra.

It’s a Patagonian Mara.

But it being confused for a goatsucker is understandable considering it was found in Eugene, Oregon.

The mara –really just a large hare – was brought to the First Avenue Animal Shelter when it was found wandering about on May 19.

The shelter released a statement that reads, "Chupacabra was found on 5/19/16 on the 3000 Blk. on Kirsten Street.  If you are missing a Patagonian Mara, please contact the shelter."

So if this Chupacabra wannabe is yours…give the shelter a call.
