North American Hunter went on a bowfishing trip to the Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Texas.
The night bite yielded huge buffalo carp and a nice spotted gar, but the prized alligator gar has eluded them. With one day left they hit the river for the daytime shift in hopes that the gator gar are holed up in the backwaters of the main channel.
Even if they find them, these slender ghosts are a very difficult target with an arrow. If the guys have learned one thing it's that you need to be prepared to miss!
