Bullet Weights for the Range

Bringing a few bullet options to the range can pay off big in the field.

So you're out at the range sighting in your rifle for the upcoming season. You probably know the bullet weight you want use in the field, but when it comes to sighting it in, it makes sense to try a few different bullets if you have them. Mark Kayser is trying out various weights from the Hornady Superformance line.

If, for instance, you're going on a trip that calls for longer shots, you may find better performance from a bullet with a flatter trajectory. If you're busting brush, look for greater velocity and bigger wound channels. It pays to know what your firearm will do with different bullet types for different conditions.

The rest. my friend, is up to YOU.
