Alabama produced some monster swamp dragons this season with the heaviest reptile being landed weighing an astonishing 684 pounds. This beast was taken by Lee Wright, Phillip Brooks, Jackson Woodson, Alvin Nelson, and James Nelson on the Alabama River north of Holly Creek.
This year's largest gator measured 12 feet, 10 inches…ahhh, hell. Round it up to 13 feet! It carried a 68-inch girth and measured 46 inches around the base of the tail.
It’ll be interesting to see what else comes out of the muck once alligator season starts in other Southern states soon.
