SHE Just Shot Potential State Record Elk

Wait till you size the size of this monster!

Hannah Helme has a story to tell.

And she might write about it for the news.

The 14 year old Nebraska hunter shot an elk on September 24, 2016 that could be a new state record.

Her father Joel, an official Boone and Crockett scorer, green-scored the rack at 428 1/8 net.

The current Nebraska  state record stands at 409 7/8 for a nontypical elk, and the typical state record is set at 390 3/8.

The young lady, who has hunted with her father most of her life, shot the elk mid bugle on a Sioux County ranch.

Helme is an aspiring writer and said she's considering writing about the hunt for the local paper.

Congrats on your hunt!
