Review: SOG Scout 24

On a scale of One to's a 24!

It’s a question as old as time: How do I carry all my crap in comfort and style?

The answer is the new SOG Scout 24.

This bad boy features multiple interior pockets, a padded laptop sleeve, hydration carry, and MOLLE loop field.

It also features a top molded panel for smaller items, Scout’s unique wire long item carry, and a suspension system that makes it a joy to carry.

But wait…

There’s more.

This sucka’ also features padded shoulder straps, a stowable, padded hip belt, and a quad-zip full access main compartment.

It’s also water resistant and looks pretty bad ass.

So I've had quite a bit of time to test out my SOG Scout 24 since making the above video six months ago and I gotta say...

I love this pack.

I used it to lug my laptop safely to the DSC and SCI conventions (no small feat considering air travel these days), have used it as a day pack while trying to get back in hunt shape, took it afield along the Texas-Mexico border while after aoudad on the Indianhead Ranch, and used it to lug mucho crap back and forth on Boy Scout outings.

In short, it's super comfortable, holds a ton of gear, has more than enough protective pockets, is easy to add on to, and looks sharp.

And at under $200, the price is right as well.
