Turkey Hunting The Badlands Part 4

Part 4 of NAH Editor Gayne C. Young's turkey hunt in the South Dakota Badlands!

My guide Lance, my new hunting partner Jim Connolly, and I hit the field bright and early.

Watching dawn break over the Badlands of Pine Ridge Indian Reservation while hunting for turkey was a sight to behold.

What the hell are you looking at?!

I tell ya', prairie rats are cute until you see several hundred of them together.

Then it's just creepy.

Success came early with my taking this gorgeous Merriam.

I couldn't have done it without my borrowed Stoeger Industries M3500 Shotgun!

Yes.

That was a plug!

Jim nailed two birds that morning.

The above are just two of the reasons he has been hunting Pine Ridge Indian Reservation for more than a decade!

I'm not sure how Jim took two Toms without using a superior Stoeger Industries M3500 Shotgun!

Yes.

That was another plug.

Wait a minute...

Why didn't anybody tell me I'd been hunting a former bomb area?!

My hunt was over...

But more Badlands adventure awaits!
