Overland: Mars Rover

It tackles terrain on Earth and Mars!

Ok. Ok. Ok.  So this overland vehicle isn't designed for Earth.

And there's no way you'll ever be able to get behind the wheel of it yourself.

But it is about as tough an overland vehicle as ever been made.

Designed by NASA and revealed at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida this week, the Mars rover concept vehicle measures 24 feet long, weighs 6,000 pounds (on Earth), has six-wheel drive, seats four, and can cruise at speeds of up to 70 mph!

What a beast!

Look for the technology to appear in overland vehicles in the decades to come.

What do you think of the new Mars rover?

Would you drive one?
