Shakespeare has introduced a new rod to their popular Ugly Stik line-- the Ugly Stik GX2. It features Ugly Tech construction and a new blank through reel seat design that combines graphite and fiberglass to create a really strong, yet sensitive rod. You'll also notice much better balance than the original Ugly Stick. The guides on these rods are also much more durable with one piece, stamped stainless steel guides that won't pop out regardless of what abuse you put the rod through.

The Ugly Stik GX2 also looks much more modern than the original. It sports a matte black finish highlighted by red and silver accents and the Ugly Stik logo etched into the EVA grips. Perhaps the coolest thing about these rods is their price and versatility. Priced at just $39.95, it's available in 15 casting models, 20 spinning models and 6 ladies models.
