The Lunker Frog is a beautiful bass lure-- there's no other way to put it. It features swimming legs that extend during the retrieve and retract on the pause. When it's at rest, it measures 2.5 inches long and extends up to 4.5 inches long on the retrieve. I got to test it in a shallow tank and also noticed the positioning of the frog as it sits still on the surface. When you kill the action, it drops slightly in the water column, which is a perfect emulation of natural frog behavior. It has some really high quality components, a very soft body and very sharp hooks. Although I haven't fished with it yet, it seems like it will hold up well to the rigors of frog fishing.

Lunkerhunt is also releasing the Swim Bento this year at ICAST. It's a solid bodied swimbait that is very durable and extremely soft. It has a paddle tail to give it kicking action in the water, but it's unique tail section gives it a very unique action in the water. Its a fairly dense swimbait, which should make it easy to cast on casting gear on a lightly weighted hook. The Swim Bento is available in a 3 and 4.5-inch model with several beautiful colors to choose from.

lunkerhunt-fillet

I also spend a lot of time inspecting the Lunkerhunt Fillet-- a lipless crankbait that has a few unique qualities. The first thing you'll notice is its beautiful paint scheme, but there's a lot more beneath the surface. The Fillet has a much higher rattling sound than many similar baits on the market, which will make it effective on popular lipless crankbait lakes due to its differentiation in sound. It also features a nose-down design that allows it to sit nose-down on the bottom when at rest. This behavior is typical of feeding bait fish, so this is an interesting concept for to see on a lipless bait.

lunkerhunt-mosquito

The Mosquito is a very small countdown jerkbait being released by Lunkerhunt. Only measuring 2.5 inches long, it's surprisingly heavy for a lure its size and from what I've heard, it casts like a rocket. Its small internal rattle makes a distinctive knocking sound when twitched and big eyeballs give fish a big target to attack. The connection point between the bill and body seems very solid and the components are extremely sturdy.
