Increase Topwater Hookups and Reduce Hook Fouling

Here's a simple line rigging tip that will increase your hookup rate with topwater lures, while decreasing fowling.

Do you struggle with braid wrapping up in the lead hook of your topwater lures? Yea, a huge annoyance, and especially problematic with walking baits. Braid's subtle properties allow it to fold back and get wrapped around trebles, resulting in wasted casts. A short shank of monofilament line connected to your braid mainline will greatly reduce this problem, while increasing hookups too.
