PULLMAN — NFL scouts came to Pullman on Thursday to put more than a dozen outgoing Cougars with pro aspirations through their paces. A throng of current Cougar players looked on as spectators inside the indoor practice facility at Washington State, watching intently as their crimson brethren showcased their speed, strength and flash.

COUGAR ZACK WILLIAMS, headed into the NFL combine, was projected as the 10th best center prospect in the NFL Draft and a potential 7th round pick/free agent. Based on his numbers at the combine, he may have improved his stock.

COUGAR PRACTICE REPORT

PULLMAN — If John Fullington needs a nickname, ‘the exception' might fit the bill. True freshmen don't usually play on the o-line at the Pac-10 level, let alone at left tackle. But that's exactly where he'll be Saturday when the Cougs face Stanford. Meanwhile, center Zack Williams, "embarrassed" by the trajectory of his shotgun snaps against Arizona, put in extra time on it Wednesday.
