Center Grove Players Move Up

Some will argue that this is what high school football is all about getting the opportunity to play at the next level. Center Grove arguably had it all in 2008-2009. The reigning 5A state champions saw some of their players step up to the next plateau when they signed their National Letter's of Intent today.

One goal down, another one still to be determined. Center Grove wideout Luke Swift capped his high school career with a state title recently and now he is ready to look ahead to college. Swift remains on the recruiting board for a couple schools and there are signs that a first scholarship offer may soon arrive.

Luke Swift plays running back for Center Grove High School, who is ranked #2 in Indiana's 5A class. His teammate is quarterback and Georgia Tech commitment, Jordan Luallen. Swift took a visit with Luallen to Georgia Tech last Saturday when the Yellow Jackets hosted Duke.

The Center Grove Trojans have a talented roster full of players colleges have been taking notice of. Even with that attention, many in the program still feel wide receiver Luke Swift is undervalued, as he plays in a Wing-T. Still, with strong recent combine performances, he is starting to receive consideration as one of the state's top athletes.
