Hernandez has sights on the big leagues

After spending a 19-game promotion with the Pittsburgh Pirates, left fielder Gorkys Hernandez returned to Indianapolis on June 6. While with Pittsburgh, Hernandez made his major league debut and played in nine games. He batted .200 with two RBI, a stolen base and a run scored.

OF Gorkys Hernandez was acquired 2009 trade with Atlanta. He Has been a three-time All-Star Futures Game representative (2007, 2008, 2010). He had a fractured right ring finger in July missing the rest of the season. At AA Altoona he hit .266 with two home runs, 26 RBI and 17 steals.
