Everett Teaford gets the call

The Royals on Monday night announced that Omaha pitcher Everett Teaford has been promoted to the big leagues. The 27-year-old southpaw will take the roster spot of RHP Vin Mazzaro, who was optioned to Triple-A following the Royals' 19-1 loss on Monday. Royals Farm Report: April 25

The Omaha Storm Chasers won their eighth straight game behind some timely hitting and a magnificent effort from Everett Teaford and Luis Mendoza. Meanwhile, the Wilmington Blue Rocks extended their lead over their division with an 8-1 triumph over Lynchburg. Royals Farm Report: April 19

The Kane County Cougars were rained out on Tuesday, while the Wilmington Blue Rocks saw their seven-game winning streak snapped by the Kinston Indians. NW Arkansas also lost on Tuesday, but Omaha prevailed in a shutout over Memphis, thanks to some timely Redbirds errors and a stellar performance by starter Everett Teaford. Royals add four players to 40-man roster

The Kansas City Royals on Friday afternoon added four players to the club's 40-man roster in advance of December's Rule 5 draft. Pitcher Everett Teaford, first baseman/DH Clint Robinson, and outfielders David Lough and Derrick Robinson were placed on the Royals' 40-man roster. Pitchers Victor Marte, Bryan Bullington, Gaby Hernandez, and outfielder Jordan Parraz were all designated for assignment.
