Georgia State opened the CAA Tournament with a 85-50 victory over the Hofstra Pride Friday night in Richmond, VA. The Panthers gave perhaps their best performance of the season and in doing so sent a message to the rest of the conference.

GSU Wins Bracketbusters Game Over UTSA

Georgia State came out of the gates firing on all cylinders en route to a 82-71 victory over the UTSA roadrunners. The win was the Panthers 19th of the season and their 11th in CAA play. Georgia State will now face Old Dominion on Wednesday in the final home game of the year.

Georgia State returned home to the Sports Arena Monday night to face the Dukes of James Madison University. The Panthers were coming off a two game losing streak, but returned to the form they showed during a school record 11 game win streak by beating JMU.

Georgia State Tops VCU 55-53 to Extend Streak

The Georgia State Panthers knocked-off the VCU Rams Wednesday night to extend their win streak to 11 and claim sole possession of the top spot in the CAA standings. The Panthers ended VCU's eight-game winning streak, winning for the first time ever at VCU's Siegel Center. Their 11-3 records marks the best season start in school history.

Panthers Beat Southern to Set School Record

Georgia State defeated Georgia Southern Saturday night 72-52. The victory gave the Panthers their ninth straight win which set a new school record. Coach Ron Hunter has led his team to their best start in a decade, since the 2000-2001 team started off 11-1.

Georgia State will play host to in-state rival Georgia Southern on Thursday night in what has been dubbed the "The Battle For GSU" (even though, as explained below, we do not like this characterization). The two teams have played 43 times against each other, with Southern holding the 31-12 series advantage.

GSU Leaves The High Altitudes With Victory

Georgia State traveled to Orem, Utah to face Utah Valley on Saturday and came away with a 71-68 victory. The win gave the Panthers their eighth straight victory, which tied a school record, and their third on the road for the season.
