Defensive End David Paulsen out of Walton HS (GA) has had a stellar prep career, one that has been marked both by team and individual accomplishments. He would gladly trade all of that for a state championship, but, alas, it wasn't meant to be. Now the Raider's all-everything is looking to take the next step, one that he hopes to get a taste of very soon.

As expected following an official visit this weekend that he called very good, fullback/defensive end David Paulsen of Marietta (Walton), Ga., told Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy that he's a Cowboy. The 6-3, 240-pound Paulsen is projected to play fullback for the Cowboys and that was a focal part of his recruiting trip this weekend.

A large number of the nation's top seniors are in the middle of a juggling act. David Paulsen and the Walton HS (GA) Raiders are in the middle of a championship run and he is a major reason why. The time has come, however, for the jumbo athlete to take a little time for himself. This young man is heading west to visit the campus of Oklahoma State, and a decision may follow.

David Paulsen of Marietta (Walton), Ga., is a happy young man these days. After a big comeback win Friday night over Milton High School, he and his Walton teammates are ranked third in the state and sitting at 6-0. Paulsen is also scheduled to visit Oklahoma State coming up the first weekend of November for the Iowa State game, and he is finding himself really looking forward to the trip.
