Department of Army move stinks

First off, hats off to Caleb Campbell. He's handled himself with class since this wild ride began when the Detroit Lions drafted him in the seventh round of the NFL draft in April. Unfortunately, the Department of Army has ended it prematurely by revising the controversial alternative service option (ASO), put in place in 2005. Campbell deserved a lot better than this.

Interview: Milan Dinga

Former Army pitcher Milan Dinga pitched one scoreless inning for Triple-A Salt Lake earlier this year. Dinga hopes to get back to Salt Lake one day and, not only that, take the next step to the majors. For now, Dinga, drafted by the Angels in the 10th round of last year's major league first-year player draft, is working hard at Single-A Cedar Rapids (Iowa) of the Midwest League.
