LED BY FOURTH YEAR STARTER, senior strongside linebacker JOSEPH "JOJO" DICKSON (6-2, 235), the Vandals return a loaded linebacking unit for the 2010 season. Unlike at anytime in the last five years, the Vandals go 2-deep across the board with extensive game-time experience, plus they return four of Idaho's top eight tacklers from a year ago, including the top tacklers at SAM, MIKE, and WILL.

This was the first spring camp for redshirt freshman linebacker BRAD MARBOE, a standout athlete out of Idaho Falls (Ida.) High School, and he made the most of his opportunities. With returning starter Joseph "JoJo" Dickson being held out of contact drills, Marboe earned significant reps throughout camp with the No.1 and No.2 defensive units, and sets his sights on serious playing time this fall.

SEATTLE - The Scout.com Northwest Hot 100 can now be put to bed for the class of 2008. Spanning five states and one province, there are 27 schools represented, from BCS conferences all the way down to NAIA Division-1. The top-20 didn't change much, but there was a new entry into the top-25, and the Oregon State Beavers had the two biggest risers in the group.

LATE LAST WEEK Idaho Class 5A First Team All-Idaho defensive back selection BRAD MARBOE changed his verbal commitment from Wyoming to Idaho. One of the state of Idaho's top collegiate prospects, Marboe is being recruited as an athlete who has the versatility to play a number of positions on both sides of the ball, and will likely get his first look at linebacker for the Vandals.

ONE OF THE GEM STATE's top prospects -- and one of Robb Akey's top targets -- is headed to Idaho. Brad Marboe out of Idaho Falls had previously made an oral pledge to Wyoming but over the past month, came to realize his heart was at UI and has verballed to Idaho, his father Kent tells GoVandals.net.
