MadFriars Daily Farm Report: September 5

Monday was bittersweet, as Labor Day always marks the end of the minor league season. Only the Chihuahuas will play after tonight and they finished the regular season with a loss. The Missions lost a heartbreaker at home and the Storm couldn’t win and push their record to .500. The TinCaps were pummeled on the road and the Dust Devils notched the only win in the system, winning at home.

Some really good pitching in the system, particularly by Eric Lauer in the Tri-Cities, but not a lot of offense as only the Chihuahuas and Dust Devils win.

MadFriars Daily Farm Report: June 4

Alex Dickerson and the El Paso Chihuahuas took their offensive fireworks on the road, pounding Fresno in central California. The Missions split a doubleheader, getting a shutout in game one and losing in the nightcap. The Storm battled but lost in 15 innings while Fort Wayne cruised behind their top three draft picks from 2015.

There was plenty of action around the Padres’ organization on Memorial day as El Paso brought out the bats in an easy win in Omaha. The Storm used a couple of big innings to beat Stockton and Fort Wayne lost a close one on the road.

MadFriars Daily Farm Report: May 10

Earlier today, Brett Kennedy was promoted to Lake Elsinore and top prospect Phil Maton was reinstated from the DL. Neither team needed the pitching boost as Dinelson Lamet and Walker Lockett dominated in wins for Lake Elsinore and Fort Wayne. The Missions and Chihuahuas were not so lucky, as they could not overcome shaky starting pitching.
