Zach Kroenke gave the Reno Aces exactly what they needed after the longest game in franchise history. Following Tuesday night's marathon, Kroenke went 7.2 innings to lead the Aces to an 8-3 victory over Memphis to pull Reno into first place.

Diamondbacks September Callups

The Arizona Diamondbacks have reinstated infielder Geoff Blum and left-handed pitcher Alberto Castillo from the disabled list and recalled right-handed pitchers Ryan Cook and Sam Demel from Triple-A Reno. A few more players are expected to join the D-backs once the Aces and Mobile BayBears finish their postseasons.

Rookie Pitchers Big in D-backs Win

Rookie pitchers Barry Enright and Sam Demel were instrumental in the Arizona Diamondbacks' fifth win in six tries Tuesday night, a 2-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Enright is on a streak matched by only one other active pitcher and Demel enjoyed a major league first for the second straight night.
