2010 Oregon State Football: Shades of ‘67?

IF THERE IS one perfect allegory for the 2010 Oregon State football season, it is that of a roller coaster. The season has featured more twists and turns, highs and lows, and unexpected drops than anyone could possibly have imagined. The '10 Beavers have been a walking, talking, sweating, bleeding, pad cracking paradox. And that's not the half of it.

Stanford could get Wilder

WILDER McANDREWS DID some nice work in the second half of Oregon State's win over USC after LT Michael Philipp injured his ankle. He might be called upon to do more of the same this Saturday against Stanford (4:30 p.m./ VERSUS). Mike Riley talks injuries, Stanford and more.

NOTES: Plenty of work to do during bye week

A bye this early in the season isn't the usual, but what can Oregon State do? "It is what it is," OSU coach Mike Riley said.

Day 11, PM: Offense takes it to the defense

CORVALLIS -- As the sun went down and the temperature dropped inside of Reser Stadium Friday night, the Beavers passing game heated up. The success of Ryan Katz came with a wall put up by the offensive line. James Rodgers proved speed can be everything, Mark Banker gets loud, the coverage by the linebackers was among the few bright spots on defense, the complete 1s, 2s and 3s, plus much more.
