On Wednesday ASU basketball junior guard Trent Lockett issues a statement concerning his future with the Sun Devils. While his mother's medical condition remain serious, Lockett said that despite being granted a release from his scholarship he won't rule out finishing his college basketball career in Tempe.
Due to the news that his mother has been diagnosed with cancer, junior guard Trent Lockett has asked for a scholarship release and is expected to transfer out of the ASU basketball team.
