Padres release Hudson

The San Diego Padres have requested unconditional release waivers on infielder Orlando Hudson, placed infielder Jason Bartlett on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to May 15) with a strained right knee and recalled infielders Everth Cabrera and Alexi Amarista from Triple-A Tucson. In addition, the club has claimed left-handed pitcher Eric Stults off waivers from the Chicago White Sox

A pair of doubleheaders, one turned out really well and the other didn't. In San Antonio Cody Decker and Nate Freiman are now the league leaders in home runs for the Texas League. Although the Storm lost Corey Spangenberg, he is now hitting over .303 after starting off the month at .240. Matt Clark is really starting to heat up for the T-Padres after a rough April.
