As was the case yesterday, the Rebels went heavy on repetitions, starting with extensive special teams work in final full speed preparations for the fourth-rated Auburn Tigers who invade Oxford at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Wednesday practice report

Ole Miss practiced in "thud gear" today and had controlled contact in a one-hour-and-twenty-minute workout. The practice was split on working drills in areas the Rebs need improvement and installing the initial look at the Auburn gameplan. Coach David Cutcliffe was pleased with the work.

Monday press conference

Rebel Coach David Cutcliffe coached a long time at Tennessee, Saturday's foe. He's looking forward to his first-ever meeting across the sidelines from old friend and boss Phillip Fulmer. He knows the competitive juices will be flowing, something he relishes.

"It feels great to be back home"

Chris Herring</b> (DT, Batesville, MS) - </font>The road has not always been smooth for the former high school and juco All-American, but it looks like the adventure has landed him back on path. Chris is looking to make up for lost time this upcoming season. His teammates are looking for the same, as this year's defensive line looks to be one of the best in Ole Miss' modern day era. Herring hopes that the preseason prediction become a postseason statement.
