All summer long TSD will unveil our top 50 LSU football players for the 2013 season. TSD's Ben Love, Austin Cooper and Hunter Paniagua compiled the rankings. Making the list at No. 18 is senior linebacker Tahj Jones.
Tahj Jones officially became an LSU Tiger on Wednesday when he faxed his signed letter of intent to Les Miles. In Jones, the Tigers are getting a linebacker that plays sideline to sideline and uses his speed to make plays.

Tahj Jones canceled his final official visit that was scheduled to TCU last weekend so that he could distance himself from the recruiting process. On Monday afternoon, the Sulphur, La. product and his family informed TigerSportsDigest.com that he had make the call.

There are a few prospects in Louisiana that are still undecided and that LSU is in the mix for. One of those guys is Tahj Jones of Sulphur, La., who has taken two official visits already and was scheduled to go to TCU this weekend. However, there's been a slight change of plans.

Newly hired LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis hit the recruiting trail on Monday for the first time as an LSU Tiger and one of the players he visited was Sulphur (La.) linebacker Tahj Jones.

Scout.com's #16 nationally rated WLB received 1st Team All-District
recognition Wednesday but is still waiting on the state awards to come out. Jones
finished out the season with 81 tackles, 17 tackles for losses, and 12 sacks.
