Royals acquire two players in Podsednik trade

Ely, May, Aguasviva, Russell, Sands sparkle

John Ely allowed a single run over seven and Lucas May knocked in four runs as Albuquerque topped New Orleans 7-1. Andrew Lambo homered as Chattanooga topped Montgomery 6-5. Inland Empire topped Stockton 7-3 behind the pitching of Geison Aguasviva (1-1) and four RBI from Kyle Russell. Inland Empire topped Stockton 7-3. Jerry Sands homered twice but the Great Lakes lost 6-5 to Lake County.

Carlos Santana became to adept that after his trade to Cleveland he became the club's top prospect. Lucas May made the switch about the same time and that experiment has come to fruition, with the young man shaking off a broke hand to excel.

All four Dodgers minor league teams collected home runs Friday night but Albuquerque, Inland Empire and Great Lakes were able to make them stand up for wins, while Chattanooga was unable to convert their only long ball into a victory.
