Saints Tapping All Resources

After Hau'oli Kikaha went down last month in minicamp with a season ending ACL tear, it left the New Orleans Saints coaching staff once again scratching its heads as to who would be the one to step up in his absence. There is no shortage of impressive young candidates, including 2nd year players Obum Gwachum, Davis Tull and Bobby Richardson, as well as 3rd year "veteran" Kasim Edebali. Today, the Saints elected to add a veteran insurance policy signing a player going into his 11th NFL season.

Seahawks turnover the Broncos

With just over a week of practices now complete, quarterback Matt Hasselbeck's arm is starting to drag a bit. Hasselbeck had a big bag of ice on his throwing arm after each practice, but said the icing is preventative and his wing feels fine.

Mebane Looks Forward to New Role

Expectations have changed for Seahawks defensive tackle Brandon Mebane, and the 6-foot-1, 320-pound sparkplug is ready for the challenge. In his first two seasons with Seattle, the Cal graduate was charged with plugging the middle of line and occupying two offensive linemen so middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu could roam free of blockers and make plays.
