SEATTLE – Husky junior defensive tackle Jordan Reffett took top honors at the Washington football team's annual awards banquet when he was named the winner of the Guy Flaherty Most Inspirational Award. The annual banquet was held Monday evening at the Westin Hotel in downtown Seattle.

I know how painful it was. I could feel the disappointment and discouragement in their voices. They were humbled. It was the first and only time all season that they just didn't match up with an opponent. It gets very difficult to remain positive after a loss like last Saturday occurs.

The Washington football team left the Husky Stadium field battered and bruised following a thorough 27-17 trouncing at the hands of the Oregon State Beavers and their season hopes of going to a bowl game may have gone down in flames as well when QB Isaiah Stanback appeared to seriously injure his right ankle.
