It's a great time to be a Stanford fan. Though I've been blessed to grow up in an era of Cardinal success, all longtime supporters of Stanford have experienced firsthand the darker, pre-Jim Harbaugh days. However, despite our recent advances under Harbaugh and now David Shaw, the Grandaddy of Them All had proven elusive.

Bootleg Rose Bowl Radio: Terrell, Hart, Parry

Stanford football's practice for the Rose Bowl began Tuesday, while pads come back on next week. The Cardinal are dusting off the cobwebs before launching themselves into Wisconsin preparation. The Bootleg Radio will be at all three open practices this week.

Defense Dominates Duke

Well, not all questions about our offense were answered on a pleasant Saturday night, but Stanford came to play against Duke, sending the ACC representatives on a long flight home. A Drew Terrell punt return for touchdown, an Ed Reynolds pick-six and three TD throws from Josh Nunes, including one to WR Jamal-Rashad Patterson, sent everyone home reasonably happy on a big night for the Pac-12.

"On the Spot" with WR Jamal-Rashad Patterson

If we're to permanently change the national view of Stanford Football, we will need to attract the Jamal-Rashad Pattersons of the world. A bright, exceptionally-talented athlete, brimming with confidence, that will certainly see the field this year at receiver, this young man bought into the vision and said "No, Thank You" to top programs from the SEC & ACC. Likeable is a major understatement!
