Six Beavers receive All-Pac-12 recognition

TWO OREGON STATE SENIORS, Steven Nelson and Dylan Wynn, lead a six-member Oregon State football contingent on the Pac-12 All-Conference football teams, the conference announced Tuesday night. Both Wynn and Nelson were named to the second team as selected by the 12 league coaches.

CORVALLIS – Where did that come from? After lamenting a lack of big plays for a majority of the season, the Beavers came through in a big way, upsetting No. 6 Arizona State, 35-27 in the process. The Beavers quite literally sprinted out to an early lead - Storm Woods broke a 78-yard touchdown run, and shortly after that Terron Ward scored on a 66-yard run – both in the first quarter.

Beavs run wild, crank up D, stun No. 6 ASU!

OREGON STATE played a physically, punishing game on a frigid Saturday night in Corvallis. And in crunch time in the fourth quarter, Oregon State just went off on No. 6 Arizona State. First they grabbed the lead, storming back from a 10-point halftime deficit on the way to outscoring ASU 21-3 in the second half. At the end and with everything on the line, the Doctor was in and Alexander was Great.

Memo to The Worldwide Leader: Shove it

THE SELF-PROCLAIMED Worldwide Leader in Sports has been cruel to the Beavers the last two years. In games televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU, Oregon State is just 3-5 since 2013. Several have been blowout defeats - the Beavs just tend to have off-nights with ESPN cameras rolling. And guess what? When No. 6 Arizona State visits Corvallis this Saturday at 7:45 p.m., ESPN will be there, too.

Oregon State loses in a rout

OREGON STATE NEVER mounted a charge, never swing momentum their way in a 38-14 loss at Stanford on Saturday. The Beavs fell to 4-3 (1-3 Pac-12), as Sean Mannion and the Beaver offense struggled all game to move the ball, scoring one TD after an interception and their second in garbage time.
