Today was the Wildcats' annual media day. Due to the new NCAA mandated practice limitations, media day occurred over a week into training camp. This gave Head Coach John Mackovic a chance to evaluate his troops before addressing the press.

With the late afternoon heat beating down, head coach John Mackovic gave the Wildcats a break from wind sprints. But that was one of the only breaks the Wildcats had all day. The team had a very productive practice, but learned that they would be without four linemen, including Brad Brittain who is no longer a Wildcat. <B>UPDATED!</B>

Arizona was in full pads for the second practice of the day and there was some good popping. Both the offense and the defense added new wrinkles and we saw our first appearance of the scout teams. The Wildcats had their first two-a-day practice Monday morning and things were not as smooth as they could be. The offense was a little bit sloppy, which led to the unit having to run wind sprints during practice. On a positive note the quarterbacks looked sharp when the right personnel was in the line-up.
